Turmeric –
commonly called as Haldi in North & Manjal in
South India, which by nature have enormous scientifically proven health
benefits. The best part is ‘Turmeric is having a high potential of
curing heart disease, Alzheimer and even Cancer.’ All Indian rituals will
have a several list of elements as common requirement, in which Haldi ranks
first. Our ancestors structured our every ritual event in such a way

Haldi – As a Ceremony - Initially
turmeric paste will be made by blending water with turmeric powder. There are
several categories of making the turmeric paste some blends the turmeric with
milk & some with Sandalwood powder too, but most common way is blending
turmeric with rose water. Married women will apply the paste in bride & groom’s
face and initiates the ceremony. Applying turmeric on skin and rinsing it will
help to get rid of all the dead cells from your body. The whole
scene of the ceremony will be yellow themed, guests will be dressed yellow,
decoration set will be of yellow themed, bride & groom will be costumed
yellow symbolizing the event . As a part of event, dance performance will also
be held to entertain the couple in their most important day.
